I had some great work done in Mazatlan, however I did use local mexican dentist. One did three bridges for me that are excellent-- both color and fit. ($3200 total !- paid when work was completed and used my Visa) Another Specialist did a root canal- $300, and I had an oral surgeon there do an extraction of a difficult tooth (previous root canal) that cost was $150, and I did pay when the work was completed. I did not have good luck with the actual office called "Mexican Dental Vacation" their dentist was bad, and although the new one they have may be better.... they have terrible customer service if you have a problem. --Their web site sure looks good tho. They sold me, and I ended up paying double since I had to pay up front! (I left them and went to local specialists when I started noticing problems with their techniques, etc.) If you can swing the time off, Mexico is an excellent solution. Keep reading and go to specialists there!

GREAT Idea. If people could afford to go to MEXICO, they can afford to go to the DENTIST in the US. additionally, they are crossing an INTERNATIONAL border, there is no guarantee of their safety and they would need passports (another expense). Also (I'm just guessing here) Since people are traveling to Mexico for their services, they probably have to pay in full on the day of service - correct me if I am wrong here.
